Welcome to Scientific Inquiries and Innovations (SII)

Scientific Inquiries and Innovations provides Research and Educational Services Biogeochemistry studies to reveal organism Life History, Astronomy as observational sessions for the public, and Journalistic Photography that documents regional natural history.

As a precursor to SII, I have been operating the Age and Longevity Research Laboratory since 1996 with a long line of successes in determining life history characteristics of various aquatic organisms. Specifically, my work has been revelational in terms of validating lifespans that typically exceed estimates from previous studies. Please see my Fishes, Inverts, and Miscellaneous pages for entries about the studies I have completed or are currently engaged over time.

Few sciences are as engaging to broad audiences as the study of Astronomy. For my educational services on Astronomy I work to provide an entertaining and educational exploration of the sky for small groups of any age. During my sessions you will learn some of the basics of Astronomy in a guided tour of the sky using star wheels and a green laser. The cycles of objects in the sky above and an orientation to the constellations are a small part of the framework I use to educate and entertain my audience. No evening is ever the same as the sky shifts and the topic drifts in an open and engaging discussion under the planets and stars.

My Journalistic Photography focuses on providing excellent documentation of regional Natural History. My photographs work to provide an inspiring visual basis for written articles on traveling and exploring the wonders of the natural world.

I established SII in 2006 to create a platform to create working alliances from a lifetime of enjoyable experiences in each of these fields. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in any of my services or products.
